Nadia Boulanger
Nadia Boulanger was a French classical composer, conductor and teacher born in Paris in 1887 whose professional career began in the early 20th century within the Western classical tradition. Known for her rigorous approach to counterpoint and harmony, she worked across composition, pedagogy and conducting and taught generations of composers and performers, helping to transmit European classical techniques to students from Europe and the Americas.
