Silk Road Ensemble is an international musical collective formed in 2000 in the United States to explore cross-cultural collaboration across classical, folk and world-music traditions. Its performances and projects blend instruments and repertoires from Asia, Europe and the Americas, commissioning new compositions and reinterpreting traditional forms as part of a wider emphasis on cultural exchange and education.
