Idrees Sulieman
Idrees Sulieman was an American jazz trumpeter who began his professional career in the 1940s and became associated with the bebop and hard bop idioms. His playing drew on bop-based improvisation across both small-group and big-band settings, and he spent significant periods working in Europe from the late 1950s onwards, taking part in the transatlantic exchange of postwar jazz.
