Jo Thönes

Jo Thönes is a German jazz drummer and percussionist who began his professional career in the 1980s, working across jazz, contemporary and popular music contexts. His playing and projects combine elements of traditional jazz drumming with contemporary classical and world percussion influences, and he has worked regularly as a sideman, bandleader and studio musician in both live and recorded settings.
