John Bischoff is an American electronic musician and composer who emerged from the San Francisco experimental music scene in the late 1970s and was a founding member of the networked-computer ensemble The Hub. His work encompasses live computer-network improvisation, algorithmic composition and electronic sound installations, charting a move from tape-based practices to interactive, networked performance and contributing to the vocabulary of experimental and academic computer music.
