Joel Chadabe is an American composer and electronic-music pioneer who began his career in the 1960s and worked across experimental, electroacoustic and interactive music. He developed and promoted real-time performer–computer interaction and interactive composition systems, and he is the author of the book Electric Sound: The Past and Promise of Electronic Music.
