Desmond Dupré

Desmond Dupré was an English classical lutenist and guitarist who began his professional career in the mid-20th century and specialised in early music performance. He worked extensively as a continuo player and accompanist, combining lute and classical guitar repertoire in historically informed performances that contributed to the revival of Renaissance and Baroque music in Britain.
