Maurice Ohana
Maurice Ohana was a French composer of the 20th century who began his career in classical composition while drawing on Iberian and Mediterranean roots. His music integrated modal and microtonal elements with rhythms and timbres drawn from Mediterranean folk and flamenco traditions, evolving from neoclassical influences into a modernist language that emphasised vocal writing and instrumental colour.
