Daniel Catán

Daniel Catán was a Mexican composer from Mexico City who began his career in the late 20th century and is best known for his contributions to contemporary opera. His music combined lush, late-Romantic orchestration and lyrical vocal writing with themes drawn from Latin American literature and ecology, contributing to the development of Spanish-language opera repertoire.
