The Legendary Pink Dots are an Anglo-Dutch experimental rock band formed in London in 1980 and later based in the Netherlands, whose work draws on post-punk, neo-psychedelia and electronic music. Their music combines synthesizers, tape effects, found sounds and theatrical vocal approaches to explore ambient, industrial and psychedelic textures, and over decades they have alternated between sparse experimental releases and more fully produced studio recordings while remaining active in European and North American underground scenes.
