Ian Chang is a Hong Kong-born drummer and producer who began his career after moving to the United States and is associated with experimental rock, electronic and contemporary jazz-influenced music. His work combines acoustic drumming with electronic production and textural, modular approaches, drawing on jazz, post‑rock and ambient influences, and he has released solo material while collaborating with experimental ensembles.
