Jean-François Jenny-Clark

Jean-François Jenny-Clark was a French double bassist born in Montrouge in 1944 who began his professional career in the 1960s and worked across jazz, free improvisation and contemporary music. His playing combined rhythmic drive and melodic sensitivity, evolving from post-bop roots into roles within European free-jazz and avant-garde circles and frequently intersecting with contemporary classical and theatre contexts.
