Jim McNeely

Jim McNeely is an American jazz pianist, composer and arranger, born in Chicago in 1949 and active from the 1970s, known primarily for his work in modern big-band and small-combo jazz. His writing combines complex harmonic structures and lyrical melodic lines, evolving to incorporate contemporary orchestration techniques and extended forms that are frequently featured in modern big-band and chamber-jazz settings.
