Ricardo Viñes

Ricardo Viñes was a Spanish pianist from Lleida, Catalonia, born in 1875, who studied at the Paris Conservatoire and established his career in Paris performing classical and contemporary piano repertoire. Specialising in contemporary French and Spanish works, he gave several first performances of pieces by leading composers of the time and helped introduce new repertoire to audiences across Europe.
