Christoph Bernhard

Christoph Bernhard was a German Baroque composer and music theorist active in the mid-17th century, beginning his career as a singer and composer at German courts and chapels. His output combined expressive vocal writing, instrumental accompaniment and strict counterpoint, and his theoretical writings contributed to Baroque compositional practice and performance theory.
