Rudolf Schock

Rudolf Schock was a German operatic tenor born in Wuppertal in 1915 who began his professional career in the 1930s and specialised in lyric and light-lyric roles. He performed a repertoire that included opera, operetta and lieder, appeared regularly in German opera houses, on radio and in films in the post-war era, and played a visible role in mid-20th-century German vocal culture.
