Jacob Miller was a Jamaican reggae singer from Kingston who began his professional career in the late 1960s and became lead vocalist for the band Inner Circle in the early 1970s. His music combined ska, rocksteady and roots reggae with energetic vocal delivery and Rastafarian lyrical themes, and he was associated with the spread of Jamaican reggae music internationally during the 1970s.
