Elfrida Andrée
Elfrida Andrée was a Swedish composer, organist and conductor born in 1841 in Visby who began her professional musical career in the mid-19th century within the Romantic classical tradition. Her output included choral, orchestral and chamber works rooted in Romantic idioms, and she became one of the first professional female organists and conductors in Sweden, playing a role in widening access to musical professions for women.
