Chris Carter is an English electronic musician and producer who began his career in London in the mid-1970s and was a founding member of the industrial group Throbbing Gristle. His work blends synthesiser-driven experimentation, tape manipulation and found sounds, evolving from harsh industrial textures into ambient and soundtrack-oriented compositions and shaping aspects of the experimental electronic and industrial music scenes.
