Steve Marcus

Steve Marcus was an American jazz saxophonist who began his career in the 1960s as a sideman in big bands before leading his own groups, and worked mainly in jazz and jazz-rock fusion. His work combined jazz improvisation with rock rhythms and electric instrumentation, reflecting the late 1960s–70s fusion movement and a tendency to adapt contemporary popular songs into extended jazz arrangements.
