Cassandra Miller is a Canadian composer from Toronto who began her professional career in the early 2000s working in contemporary classical and experimental music. Her work frequently uses transcription of recorded voices and found sound, explores extended vocal techniques, microtonal textures and reworkings of pre-existing material, and has expanded from chamber pieces to larger ensemble and orchestral contexts while engaging with documentary and ecological concerns.
