Warren Ellis

Warren Ellis is an Australian multi-instrumentalist and composer who emerged from the Melbourne music scene in the late 1980s and is associated with post-punk, alternative rock and instrumental folk genres. His style is characterised by expressive violin and bowed-string playing layered with electronic textures and improvisation, and his career has expanded from instrumental ensembles into collaborative rock projects and film scoring.
