João Carlos Martins

João Carlos Martins is a Brazilian classical pianist and conductor from São Paulo who established an international performing career in the mid-20th century. Closely associated with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, he turned increasingly to arranging, conducting and music education after injuries affected his solo performances, leading ensembles and initiatives that promoted classical music in Brazil and abroad.
