Mulatu of Ethiopia is a studio album by Ethiopian vibraphonist and composer Mulatu Astatke, released in 1972. The record showcases Mulatu's Ethio-jazz approach, combining Ethiopian modal melodies and pentatonic scales with jazz harmonies, Afro-Latin and funk-inflected rhythms and modern instrumentation, and is an early example of his work blending Ethiopian musical traditions with contemporary jazz forms.
