Sinfonia

Sinfonia is a 1968 composition by Italian composer Luciano Berio. Scored for orchestra and amplified voices, it combines dense orchestral textures with collage techniques, layering spoken and sung fragments, extended vocal effects and quotations from a wide range of musical and literary sources, and it marks a pivotal point in Berio's exploration of vocal collage and the boundaries between speech and music within late-20th-century classical music.
