Stabat Mater

Stabat Mater is a choral work by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, completed in 1985. The composition exemplifies Pärt's tintinnabuli approach, featuring spare, chant-like vocal lines, modal harmonies and slow, meditative textures that place it within his turn to sacred minimalism in the late twentieth century.
