Symphony no. 3 in D minor

Album by Anton Bruckner & Staatskapelle Dresden & Giuseppe Sinopoli

Symphony No. 3 in D minor is the third symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1873. A late-Romantic orchestral work, it employs expanded orchestration, extended movements with broad melodic and polyphonic development, and represents an early large-scale example of Bruckner's evolving symphonic language that was later subjected to substantial revisions.
First released: 25th October 1991
