Vocal Group

Vocal groups first flourished in the 1940s and 1950s, mostly in the United States, when three or more singers would harmonise in ways that could make even the most stoic listener crack a smile. Characterised by catchy melodies and a generous dollop of harmonisation, these groups often left a trail of swooning fans in their wake, proving that singing in perfect sync can be irresistibly charming. You could say they’re the musical equivalent of a well-planned heist; it looks effortless, but there's a lot of careful coordination happening behind the scenes.
