Uk Rap
UK Rap began to gain traction in the late 1980s, fuelled by the British take on hip hop, where grime, garage, and a bit of cheeky attitude collide like a bus stop argument. It’s characterised by rapid-fire lyrics and a distinct London twang, often served with a side of social commentary that makes it both relatable and a tad confrontational. The genre has influenced everything from fashion to political discourse, proving that whilst you might not always agree with the message, at least the delivery is quite entertaining.
