Trance

Trance music emerged in the late 1980s, primarily in Germany, as a delightful blend of house, techno, and an insatiable desire for long, euphoric build-ups that would make even a snail's pace seem hasty. Characterised by dreamy melodies, soaring synths, and a BPM that would make a caffeinated rabbit look sluggish, it’s essentially the soundtrack for anyone who has ever been lost in thought at a rave. Surprisingly popular during the early 2000s, it has managed to maintain a loyal following whilst giving rise to spectacular haircuts and an array of light shows that could prompt a visit to your optician.
