Pbrandb
PBR&B emerged in the late 2000s, primarily in America, when artists decided that traditional R&B was far too upbeat and cheerful, opting instead for a sound that's slightly melancholic yet undeniably groove-laden. It's characterised by smooth falsettos, lush production, and often lyrics that revolve around heartbreak or existential crises, practically making it the soundtrack to sipping whisky alone on a rainy Tuesday. It’s coined the term 'PBR' to capture the essence of affordability and authenticity, much like a 4-pack of cheap beer whilst simultaneously elevating your emotional turmoil into art.
