Hard Techno

Hard Techno emerged in the late 1980s in the clubs of Germany, where it was invented by people who thought music could be faster and louder than a pub quiz on a Saturday night. Characterised by relentless, pounding beats and an all-consuming bass, it’s the aural equivalent of being chased by a particularly determined rhinoceros. Its appeal lies in the fact that, whilst you may not hear a single intelligible word, you’ll definitely feel as if your insides are being rearranged, which is quite popular amongst certain rave enthusiasts.
