Euro Pop emerged in the late 1970s across Europe, particularly in countries like Sweden and Germany, when pop music decided to put on its most glitzy sequins and dance like no one was watching, except they very much were. Characterised by catchy hooks, upbeat tempos, and the distinct ability to worm its way into your brain faster than a pesky earworm, this genre practically invented the party anthem.
