Electronic Pop

Electronic Pop emerged in the late 1970s when musicians figured out that expensive synthesizers could make them sound futuristic and a tad less human, often to delightful effect. Characterised by catchy melodies, bouncy beats, and an alarming amount of shiny production, it’s like having a dance party in a computer. It has since spawned a legion of followers who believe that no group of humans should ever perform live without at least one glowing device on stage.
