Digital Hardcore
Digital Hardcore exploded onto the scene in the early 1990s, led by a few adventurous souls in Germany who decided to fuse techno with punk rock, as if trying to start a musical mosh pit at an all-night rave. It sounds like a blender full of broken beats, distorted guitars, and shouted vocals, which might make your ears bleed or inspire an oddly specific kind of dance; either way, it's not exactly background music for tea and biscuits. This genre has since become a cult favourite, proving that there’s nothing quite like the sound of chaos to get a room moving, or at least to make the neighbours very concerned.
