Brass
Brass music, often marching its way into hearts, originated in the 19th century as bands began to realise that shiny instruments could make a jolly good racket, particularly at parades and military events. It's characterised by bold brass instruments like trumpets, trombones, and tubas, which collectively sound as if they're trying to outdo each other in a musical shouting match, ideally while wearing matching uniforms. Often a favourite for celebrations, it's quite hard to feel glum when confronted with the exuberance of a brass band relentlessly blasting your ear drums, so you might as well join in the dancing.
