David Clayton-Thomas is a Canadian singer-songwriter, born in England, who began his career on the Toronto club circuit in the early 1960s and is best known for fronting the jazz-rock band Blood, Sweat & Tears. His vocal style, rooted in blues and jazz, and his songwriting led him to perform R&B, soul, big-band jazz-rock arrangements and solo blues repertoire, reflecting the cross-genre currents of North American popular music from the 1960s onwards.
