Ilpo Väisänen

Ilpo Väisänen is a Finnish electronic musician who began his career in the early 1990s and is best known as co-founder of the experimental electronic duo Pan Sonic, working across minimal techno, industrial and noise-based electronic music. His work emphasises stark timbres and the use of analogue and custom-built electronics, evolving through solo releases and collaborations that intersect electro, ambient and noise traditions within the Finnish and broader electronic music scenes.
