John Hébert

John Hébert is an American jazz double bassist based in New York who has been active on the contemporary jazz scene since the 1990s. His playing spans post-bop and avant-garde contexts, emphasising melodic improvisation and interactive rhythm, and he has appeared both as a leader and a frequent sideman on modern jazz recordings.
