Norman Dello Joio
Norman Dello Joio was an American composer from New York City who began his career in the mid-20th century, working primarily in classical and liturgical music. His output combined traditional tonal structures with contemporary harmonies and choral-orchestral textures, later encompassing works for concert band, film and television and educational music programmes within the mid-century American classical milieu.
