Henry Litolff

Henry Charles Litolff (1818–1891) was a 19th-century pianist, composer and music publisher born in London who built his career in continental Europe within the Romantic classical tradition. Associated particularly with the 'concerto symphonique' form, he composed virtuosic piano works and orchestral pieces that blend concerto and symphonic elements and contributed to the development of concert repertoire and music publishing in the 19th century.
