June Carter Cash

June Carter Cash was an American country and folk singer-songwriter from Maces Spring, Virginia, who began performing in childhood within the Carter Family tradition and later forged a solo career encompassing country, folk and gospel music. Her musical style blended traditional Appalachian folk and country with gospel influences, and she recorded and performed across radio, stage and television while helping to maintain and transmit traditional country repertoire.
