Arnold Östman
Arnold Östman was a Swedish conductor and harpsichordist who began his career in Sweden in the 1960s and became associated with historically informed performances of Baroque and Classical opera. He championed period instruments and historical performance practices, directing staged revivals of 18th-century repertoire and shaping approaches to Mozart and baroque opera in Sweden and beyond.
