Miguel del Águila is a Uruguayan-born composer of contemporary classical music who relocated to the United States and began his professional career in the late 20th century. His work blends Latin American rhythms and tango-inflected melodies with contemporary classical techniques, spanning chamber, orchestral and film music and contributing to the modern Latin-American classical repertoire.
