Alexander Tsfasman

Александр Цфасман was a Soviet jazz pianist, composer and bandleader who began his career in the 1920s and worked primarily in Moscow. Combining classical training with jazz idioms, he evolved from leading small ensembles to larger orchestras and helped introduce and adapt jazz styles within Soviet popular music while navigating official cultural restrictions.
