大貫妙子 (Taeko Ohnuki) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and composer from Tokyo who began her career in the early 1970s as a member of a pop band before embarking on a solo career, working across city pop, soft rock and folk-influenced pop. Her solo output is characterised by sophisticated, studio-oriented arrangements blending jazz, electronic and ambient textures, evolving from acoustic folk-pop into urbane city pop in the late 1970s and 1980s and later embracing minimal electronic and experimental approaches within Japan's urban adult pop milieu.
