Iva Bittová is a Czech singer, violinist and composer who emerged from the Czechoslovak music scene in the early 1980s and works across contemporary classical, avant-garde, folk and experimental genres. Her performances and recordings combine extended vocal techniques, folk motifs and improvisation with classical and experimental instrumentation, evolving from ensemble and theatre projects into a predominantly solo practice that engages with Central European musical traditions.
