Hans Joachim Irmler

Hans Joachim Irmler is a German musician who co-founded the krautrock group Faust in Wümme, Germany, in 1971 and began his career in experimental and avant-garde rock. He is noted for his organ- and keyboard-based textures, tape-manipulation techniques and a career evolution that includes running the Klangbad studio and label and continuing to produce and perform contemporary experimental and improvisational projects.
