Ferdinand Richard

Ferdinand Richard is a French musician and composer who came to prominence in the 1970s as a founding member of the avant-rock group Etron Fou Leloublan and a participant in the Rock in Opposition movement, working primarily in experimental and progressive rock. His work combines elements of experimental rock, free improvisation and contemporary composition, evolving from angular, high-energy arrangements to more structured interdisciplinary projects for theatre and film and situating him within the European avant-garde music context.
