Jan W. Morthenson

Jan W. Morthenson is a Swedish composer and critic who began his career in the 1960s, working primarily in avant-garde and experimental contemporary classical music. His output and writings moved from serialist and radical-modernist techniques towards concentrated explorations of timbre, texture and structural economy, and he engaged in critical debates about the direction of Scandinavian contemporary music.
